FEBRUARY UPDATE

Pressure is mounting to cut school spending in the face of a $3.5 million shortfall in the consolidated Town budget. Although the School Committee previously rejected budget reductions over concern that they would fundamentally reduce the quality of education in Wellesley, the Advisory Committee is pressing for reductions.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

attend the meetings below and/or provide your input to School Committee in advance
contact the Advisory Committee and the Board of Selectmen to express your concern about these cuts
attend the Advisory Public Hearing on February 10th.
